This is a vintage lightweight zodiac pendant necklace from iconic French designer Pierre Cardin circa the year 1979. This pendant represents the sign Cancer, born between June 22 and July 23. Features a three-dimensional cut-out of the sign’s symbol, the crab, as well as a constellation of stars, one of which features a dainty genuine diamond chip inlay. A personal and rare vintage designer necklace to treasure forever.
The necklace chain is fully adjustable by sliding the round end of the clasp along the chain. Can be worn as a choker flush to the skin, or at the maximum length, approximately 22.5 inches.
Each particular charm possesses its own minor vintage wear and discoloration that is consistent with the age of the piece, which is vintage from the 1970’s.
This charm is from Pierre Cardin’s 1979 zodiac jewelry collection. The former vintage chain, which was signed “Pierre Cardin” on the clasp, was tarnished, and therefore replaced.
